Profile

Sasha (she/they) is a trauma-informed counsellor, artist, and somatic practitioner who centers the inherent wisdom of the body and nature in processes of healing and liberation. Her work is rooted in creating therapeutic spaces that honour the embodied impacts of systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, and marginalization—particularly for queer, trans*, and BIPOC communities. Grounding their practice in abolitionist, anti-psychiatric, and non-interference principles, Sasha integrates somatic therapies (Somatic Experiencing, Inner Relationship Focusing, movement, dance and sounding) with harm-reductive, trauma-informed counselling. They hold a Master of Social Work and are certified in Somatic Attachment Therapy, weaving body-centered modalities with their background in community mental health to support her clients.

Areas of Focus:
• Embodied Liberation—supporting clients in reclaiming agency, safety, and connection to their body’s rhythms and wisdom.
• Navigating Liminal States & Major Transitions—gender/sexual identity affirmation, grief, displacement, altered psychic states, and other experiences of profound transformation.
• Systemic Stress & Trauma—gently tending to the embodied effects of intergenerational trauma and oppression (e.g., racism, cisheteropatriarchy, ableism).

Sasha’s approach fosters presence, compassion, and groundedness, helping individuals cultivate wholeness and trust amid uncertainty. Her practice is a space for both healing and imaginative possibility, honoring the body, and states of liminality, as sacred sites of vulnerability, resistance, deep knowing and freedom.
